Home Staging and Home Selling Tips Newsletter - Should Seller Get Rid of Cross Collection

An EnergizedSeller.com (a resource for Selling House and Staging Homes) member recently asked whether she should get rid of their cross collection that covers an entire wall. Although the collection looks nice in the photo of the member she submitted, most of the EnergizedSeller.com professionals recommended that the collection be removed before the home is shown to buyers. Buyers should be able to envision what they would do with a room without having to see past the seller's own personal touches, and any kind of personal collection, religious or non-religious, that dominates a room can be a distraction.  Instead, pack up your collections and other personal items and sell your home more quickly.  Read More »
